The services provided by the Core are outlined below. Although full assistance is available during normal working hours, experienced users can also use the facility during nights and weekends. Reservation of time is either by sign-up book on site or by contacting Lusijah Rott by phone or email.

Functions and Activities

For luminex, the DDC will subsidize up to $500 per RBI per year.

For the FACS component of this Core, users are not charged for their utilization. Ms. Rott tracks Core utilization with the assistance of the DDC Administrator.

Cytometer data. Example of data derived from the LSRII cytometer (assisted by Lusijah Rott) that examines graft vs. host disease. In the top right plot, most graft cells in the blast reagion are CD8 memory cells. The bottom four plots compare graft vs. host gated cells with respect to two homing receptors, a 4 b 7 vs P-selectin ligand. Graft cells show markedly higher expression of P-selectin ligand. Data provided by Tohru Sato, a former GI fellow and Stanford trainee who now is a Clinical Instructor, who is performing research in Eugene Butcher's laboratory. Assisted by Lusijah Rott.
