The Administrative Core is responsible for the overall management of the Core facilities. In addition, the following programs are covered by the Administrative Core under the direction of the DDC Director, Associate Directors, and Center Administrator. The Administrative Core is responsible for the following Center programs.

Named Investigator Program

Each year in the fall we solicit applications for a Named Investigator Award. The External and Internal Advisory Committees review the applications, and in consultation with the Director, select a candidate. The Named Investigator Program provides partial salary support for one to two years for Center members at the Assistant Professor level.

Our Named Investigators (their listed academic titles reflect their status at the time of the award) include:

Pilot Feasibility (PF) Program

Funding for pilot studies is awarded annually beginning on March 1. Announcements for the applications are made in late December or early January. Our selected Pilot applicants for funding include:

Enrichment Program

The enrichment program consists of 4 components. In the aggregate, this program serves to enhance the scholarly interaction of the DDC investigator group.

Clinical Component

This is a new component that is being established to support translational research efforts.
