Digestive Disease Center Symposium

The Symposium is held on an annual basis and features speakers from outside and inside Stanford who are established and highly recognized in their field of expertise. This year's Symposium was held on May 3, 2008, in honor of Dr. Stanley Falkow. It revolved around the theme "Bacteria and the Gut." Last year's Symposium, held on June 8, 2007, centered on the theme of "Hepatitis C" and was entitled, "The Virology and Treatment of Hepatitis C." It was held at Clark Center, Stanford University.

Digestive Disease Center Retreat

Retreats are held on an annual basis to allow the DDC investigator group, the P/F holders, core directors and the supporting administrative and laboratory support staff to review the status of the DDC and to plan for subsequent years. Members of the External Advisory Committee also attend. Last year's Retreat was held on September 29, 2007 at Clark Center, Stanford University. This year's DDC Retreat was held on October 4, 2008 at Stanford's Clark Center.
